Allied Universal Security Chief in LaGrange, Georgia
Site Security Chief will be compensated for supervisory responsibilities, will perform required supervisory responsibilities and other duties as may be reasonable assigned and/or required. This may include up to one hour per week of briefing with client authorized representative(s), conducted at the start or finish of the Site Security Chief’s shift. The Site Security Chief will have a minimum of 10 - 15 years of supervisory law enforcement, military experience, private security, or corporate security experience.
The Site Security Chief is responsible for the activities of all Officers assigned on his/her shift. The Site Security Chief will ensure that all posts and patrols are covered, that all assigned
personnel conform to the appropriate regulations, that all assigned shift duties are performed, and direct Security Vendor personnel actions during any event not covered by written regulations.
One of the following:
Former Law Enforcement
Former Career Military
Former Military Police
Former Police Academy Trained
Former Federal Agency Officer
Graduate of accredited college or university with an AA Degree or higher with a concentration in criminal justice, police science or security administration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office computer applications, i.e. Word, Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to qualify and carry a firearm.
Current CPR and First Aid training certificate.
Valid driver’s license.
Required state certification and/or licensing.
Duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
Direct strategic planning, ensuring effective organization and implementation for site operations.
Make daily and unannounced facility inspections, inclusive of late evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure the total compliance of site guidelines, post orders, employee job performance, etc. Will administer on-the-spot corrective action to any employee under his command as necessary.
Review the security program on a continual basis, assist in training and selection of personnel, their evaluation, and make recommendations for promotions and awards.
Ensure the operation is fully staffed with skilled and competent personnel, and that all security personnel are properly trained and such training is documented in personnel files.
Maintain schedules and 24-hour efficiency, and to assist shift supervision on a 24-hour basis for any special emergency conditions that may arise.
Guide the continuous improvement process and report progress to Company security representative on a monthly or as required basis.
Act as liaison between Supplier and Company by maintaining good communications with local Company site representative and assisting with special problems, emergencies, extra staffing requirements, etc., as they arise.
Demonstrate proficiency in all of the tasks required of the Security Officer.
Demonstrate proficiency in the duties of each post under his/her direction.
Maintain communication both up and down the chain of command. The Site Supervisor will be accessible to all Officers under his/her direction.
Lead by example of personal conduct and appearance.
Assist Officers in making appropriate decision in areas not covered by written directives. The results of these decisions, where necessary, will be passed up the chain of command.
Ensure that all personnel are at their assigned posts at their assigned times.
Ensure that each assigned security officer receives the required training and direction passed on to the oncoming shift.
Review and evaluate all written reports submitted by security officers to ensure reports are correctly and properly completed.
Constantly observe for weaknesses in security system and programs and offer suggestions for improvement.
Issue orders and instructions pertaining to security officer operations as requested by KMMG.
Ensure all orders and instructions are understood and followed by security supervisors and officers.
Periodically visit plant site at unannounced times to ensure job requirements are being followed and conduct standards are being met.
Conduct training of new security officers and as needed at monthly training meetings.
Conduct training for on-site Vendors regarding KMMG site access, badges, permits, and emergency procedures.
Participate with KMMG Risk Management activities as requested.
Conduct weekly meetings with security representatives of KMMG.
Handles other security responsibilities as needed.
