Allied Universal Union Administration Specialist in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

The Union Administration Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely submission of monthly payments to various unions related to health benefits, training funds, legal funds, supplemental retirement savings plan, union dues, initiation fees, voluntary contributions and other deductions or fees as applicable. This role will provide centralized support to our National Security Operations local district office staff assisting them with the interpretation and contractual deliverables of their local collective bargaining agreements/union contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret the financial terms and conditions and operational deliverables of collective bargaining agreements/union contracts.

  • Analyze and reconcile the union data and WinTeam data on a weekly and monthly basis; generate reports detailing all findings and necessary corrective action required. Prepare funding for management approval to facilitate payments.

  • Process union related payroll deductions such as union dues, initiation fees, and American Dream Fund.

  • Partner with local district office staff acting as the Subject Matter Expert for union contract administration.

  • Maintain union membership rosters within the union’s database.

  • Excellent reading comprehension to interpret union Collective Bargaining Agreements and associated Riders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus at least 1-3 years of business services or field operations support experience. In addition, we require the following skills:

  • High volume reconciliation experience

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team (demonstrates strong relationship-building skills)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook

  • Ability to conform to complex procedures and meet deadlines

  • Ability to identify and solve problems

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely, courteous and professional manner

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a proven ability to sustain a high level of output and productivity

  • Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities
